When we woke up Sunday morning, Tripp and I found these two sleepy heads in our bed!Because I Love You!
I'm not someone who talks a lot and says what I feel or think...but when I do, I hope people listen because I feel what I do say is important. The last couple of weeks, I have had a thought come into my mind, but I keep pushing it away thinking that if I really need to do this I will truly know it. Every day this thought keep recurring to me and after what I heard today in the news, I felt I need to do this. I ask you to please read all of this. I know a lot of you that may read this don't share my faith and I have never pushed you into believing as I do because I wanted you to respect me and not be offended....but I am willing to risk my friendship with you right now to let you know what I need to tell you. Please don't stop reading this. It is very important to me for you to read this.
I truly believe with ALL my heart that Jesus is coming soon.....sooner than we all think He is. I have been really concerned about fears I have had for my children. Those fears are resolved, even though Satan does try to stir me up about it at times...........but I need to tell you all too about Jesus because I want to make sure you go to Heaven with me too!
I know it is hard for some of you to believe in something you cannot see........but if you trust me and have respect for me believe me when I say Jesus is real!! He is more real to me than anything in this world. I believe with all my heart, soul and mind that He did come to this earth, lived among us, died to save us and is living in my heart! I want you all to believe this too! Please do try to seek Him out and have Him to help you to see He is real too! He will if you ask Him!
When you have assurance that what I say is true, please consider the following things. You cannot get to Heaven and receive salvation from sin unless you do the following. Please do not stop reading! Please!
In the Bible (I am using the New Living Translation), there are verses to help us know our need for God. The first verse is Romans 3:23. It says For all have sinned; all fall short of God's standard. This pretty much says we all are not perfect. No one is perfect. You can do lots of good things and say a lot of nice things, but we all still do bad things whether we admit it or not. I've been accused many times of being a Miss Goody Two-Shoes, but I am here to say I AM NOT! I try to be good and kind because I want people to see Jesus in me, but in my mind I am a terrible person. I know I cannot get into Heaven based on my kindness or whatever deed I do.....and neither can you. In God's eyes, sin is all the same.....whether we think bad things or go out and kill someone. It is all the same. According to Romans 6:23 the wages of sin is death....if we do not ask God to forgive us we will be separated from Him forever. You are probably thinking "so what? What do I need with God". You need Him more than you think. God gave us life and even if we don't care one iota for Him, He cares for you so much. He cares for us even though we treat Him like crap....and we do. I treat Him that way...but yet He still loves me and I can't imagine.......I don't want to imagine....being without Him.
Well, what can we do? Our world lives like we can do all things on our own.....so what can we do to get God's acceptance of us? In Titus 3:5 the Bible says He saved us, not because of the good things we did, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins and gave us a new life through the Holy Spirit. Then Romans 5:8 says But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. God sent Jesus to come to us to die for us on the cross. Jesus had the opportunity to not do it, but He did. I often wonder why did He have to die. But if you think of it.....would you die for someone who did something bad in their place? I might for my children, but I certainly wouldn't for you or anyone else....but Jesus did! It was the ultimate sacrifice. Is there any more of a way to show your love for someone? I think not at all. Because of His death, He took our penalty of sin so we would not have to suffer it.......but we have to accept that He did this. If we don't, we will take the penalty ourselves. We will be sent to Hell. I know a lot of people say "If God loves us why would He send us to Hell?" God is giving us a choice. If He made you follow Him, would you respect Him? Remember when you were a child....when your parents told you to do something and disciplined you, did you think "Gee! Thanks Mom and Dad! I'm so glad you are making me do this even though I'd rather do something else!" NO! Of course not! God doesn't want to force us to do something either. He wants you to love him and know how much He cares for you but He isn't going to force you to love Him. All you need to do is what John 1:12 says....But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God. John 3:16 says it all....For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
If you want to become one of God's own, just say this little prayer or one of your own. All you need to do is tell God you are a sinner and need His forgiveness and that you want Him in your life. This prayer will guide you if you need help:
Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I need you in my life. Please forgive me of all I have done and please be the Lord of my life. Thank you for coming to earth and dying for me. Thank you for being my Saviour! Amen!
If you didn't pray this, I beg of you to please consider it before it is too late. I love you very much and want you to be in Heaven with me. Please if you have questions, go to another Christian you respect or email me (see link to right) and we will most certainly help you!
Thank you for reading this and please take this seriously. I love you too much not to say anything.

Lake Winnie

Today my parents came and took Nathan to Lake Winnie. He being gone worked out well for Tripp and his Dad spent all day working on Nathan's birthday present - a swing set. Nathan had a lot of fun riding all the rides....but he got a bit upset according to MeMe because he was too small to ride the Cannonball. I think I've got myself a rollercoaster buddy. Would you believe after walking and playing all day at the park that the child is NOT tired! Ha Ha!
The swing set is not completed yet. It is quite a BIG project! Hopefully Monday it will get finished. I can't wait to post some pics of Nathan enjoying his gift.

The Tent
Nathan took this picture - didn't he do good??
On a later post I had told you that my grandma got a tent for Nathan to play in. We are planning to go camping next month with my parents so Nathan is all about camping right now. So, we brought the tent out into the living room to play camping. Natalee LOVED the tent! I have never seen such a content little girl in that thing! She just cooed and giggled.......she even went to SLEEP in it! This tent is gonna stay in the living room for a while! ha ha!

Sleeping The Night Away!
At this point, I was about to explode I had so much milk........so I went to pump. I pumped the first side then ran back to the room to see if she was awake. She is a light sleeper and the pump always wakes her up, but not this time! So I went back to pump the other one. I had so much milk in me I almost had to get another bottle to fill! When I got finished..........guess what I heard! I heard a little girl crying. Thankfully as soon as we settled down in the rocking chair........a bit more milk came back in and she ate and went back to sleep!
This is the first time she has slept this long through the night. I have never experienced this before. Nathan had the colic for over 6 months and never ever slept like that. What a difference between the two!

Night and Day with MeMe and Papaw

I went to my parents and grandparents house yesterday to visit. When it was time to go, Nathan cried really hard. He hasn't done that in a while. He told Meme (my mom) he didn't want to go home because Natalee screamed and it made his head hurt............so we decided he needed a break and he spent the night with them. He didn't have any clothes, so Moma put him in some of Daddy's boxer shorts and one of her shirts. Moma said Nathan doubled over cackling. He thought he looked pretty funny. He still wasn't quite ready to come home this afternoon either, but he was bribed. He ended up coming home after his bribe of a doctor playkit. Even though I have been wanting a break so bad.......I missed him.......

Official Birthday Party

Today is officially Tripp's birthday! We picked him up a cookie cake and gave him his gift that he had hoped for.....a new watch. Happy Birthday Tripp!2 Month Appointment
She weighed 10 lbs 15 ozs and was 23 inches long. Doctor said she was a bit underweight............WHAT!!! Natalee is so much bigger than Nathan was and eats like a horse so that really shocked me.....but doctor said it wasn't a big deal because it was probably her body type.
She has a bit of a belly button hernia, which isn't a problem according to doctor, and cradle cap. But the big thing he noticed was Natalee has a click in her left hip. I looked that up on the internet and it said it could be something called hip dysplasia. The doctor said when we come back at her 4 month check-up, he would check it again. If it is still there, he would send us to have an ultrasound done to see what the problem is. So.......be in prayer for that. I don't feel worried about it so I am hoping all is okay and it is just a quirky thing for her right now.

Momma's Little Copy Cat
Last night, Nathan started carrying around the doll he wouldn't give up for our Christmas Shoe Boxes last year and copied everything I did. All of a sudden, he tells me his baby is hungry.......and he pretends he is nursing her! It was so funny! I tried to get him to do it again so we could have it on video. This is what he did. So Cute!

Bath Time

Natalee is such a silly girl when it comes to her bath. She loves taking a bath. She sits there all sprawled out totally relaxed. She loves me pouring warm water over her and will sit there all day if it wasn't for one thing......washing her hair. She absolutely HATES me washing her hair......after that job, bath time comes to an abrupt stop. Silly girl.Fall Creek Falls

We decided to get away today and go to Fall Creek Falls. It was such a nice day! We hiked the long trail from the Nature Center to the Falls, then down to the base of the falls and back to the Nature Center. Nathan walked the whole hike all by himself - which took us around 3 hours or so! He did such a good job! Only thing we had trouble with is he is a bit like his momma when it comes to heights. He became terrified when we had to cross the swinging bridge and when we came to overlooks. Saturday, August 09, 2008
Sort-of Surprise Party

We had a somewhat surprise early birthday party for Tripp today (he figured out the surprise a day or two before). Our family came over and we ate lots of food and cake. Tripp didn't much appreciate my tombstone cake I made him but I couldn't resist.......you have got to have a little fun on the BIG 40!!Smiley Girl

I finally was able to snap a shot of Natalee smiling. Doesn't she have the sweetest little smile! Her whole face just lights up! I got to thinking........you don't have to teach a baby how to smile......God already programmed her and Nathan how to do that before they were even born. I've seen ultrasound pictures of babies even smiling in the womb. Isn't that so neat! I love it!Wednesday, August 06, 2008
Chuck E. Cheese

For months, Nathan has been begging to go to Chuck E. Cheese so my parents came down today and took him and Natalee. He had such a good time while Natalee snoozed away. He and MeMe did a good job earning tickets to turn in for prizes. In the end, he had a whopping 636 tickets! He turned them in for a blue squishy ball, funny glasses and a rocket launcher. We had a great time.
