Having some place to go is Home - Having someone to love is Family - Having both is a Blessing

Because I Love You!

This post will always stay on the top. To see the latest happenings in the Little Webb Family, please scroll down, but not before you take this post into serious consideration!

I'm not someone who talks a lot and says what I feel or think...but when I do, I hope people listen because I feel what I do say is important. The last couple of weeks, I have had a thought come into my mind, but I keep pushing it away thinking that if I really need to do this I will truly know it. Every day this thought keep recurring to me and after what I heard today in the news, I felt I need to do this. I ask you to please read all of this. I know a lot of you that may read this don't share my faith and I have never pushed you into believing as I do because I wanted you to respect me and not be offended....but I am willing to risk my friendship with you right now to let you know what I need to tell you. Please don't stop reading this. It is very important to me for you to read this.

I truly believe with ALL my heart that Jesus is coming soon.....sooner than we all think He is. I have been really concerned about fears I have had for my children. Those fears are resolved, even though Satan does try to stir me up about it at times...........but I need to tell you all too about Jesus because I want to make sure you go to Heaven with me too!

I know it is hard for some of you to believe in something you cannot see........but if you trust me and have respect for me believe me when I say Jesus is real!! He is more real to me than anything in this world. I believe with all my heart, soul and mind that He did come to this earth, lived among us, died to save us and is living in my heart! I want you all to believe this too! Please do try to seek Him out and have Him to help you to see He is real too! He will if you ask Him!

When you have assurance that what I say is true, please consider the following things. You cannot get to Heaven and receive salvation from sin unless you do the following. Please do not stop reading! Please!

In the Bible (I am using the New Living Translation), there are verses to help us know our need for God. The first verse is Romans 3:23. It says For all have sinned; all fall short of God's standard. This pretty much says we all are not perfect. No one is perfect. You can do lots of good things and say a lot of nice things, but we all still do bad things whether we admit it or not. I've been accused many times of being a Miss Goody Two-Shoes, but I am here to say I AM NOT! I try to be good and kind because I want people to see Jesus in me, but in my mind I am a terrible person. I know I cannot get into Heaven based on my kindness or whatever deed I do.....and neither can you. In God's eyes, sin is all the same.....whether we think bad things or go out and kill someone. It is all the same. According to Romans 6:23 the wages of sin is death....if we do not ask God to forgive us we will be separated from Him forever. You are probably thinking "so what? What do I need with God". You need Him more than you think. God gave us life and even if we don't care one iota for Him, He cares for you so much. He cares for us even though we treat Him like crap....and we do. I treat Him that way...but yet He still loves me and I can't imagine.......I don't want to imagine....being without Him.

Well, what can we do? Our world lives like we can do all things on our own.....so what can we do to get God's acceptance of us? In Titus 3:5 the Bible says He saved us, not because of the good things we did, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins and gave us a new life through the Holy Spirit. Then Romans 5:8 says But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. God sent Jesus to come to us to die for us on the cross. Jesus had the opportunity to not do it, but He did. I often wonder why did He have to die. But if you think of it.....would you die for someone who did something bad in their place? I might for my children, but I certainly wouldn't for you or anyone else....but Jesus did! It was the ultimate sacrifice. Is there any more of a way to show your love for someone? I think not at all. Because of His death, He took our penalty of sin so we would not have to suffer it.......but we have to accept that He did this. If we don't, we will take the penalty ourselves. We will be sent to Hell. I know a lot of people say "If God loves us why would He send us to Hell?" God is giving us a choice. If He made you follow Him, would you respect Him? Remember when you were a child....when your parents told you to do something and disciplined you, did you think "Gee! Thanks Mom and Dad! I'm so glad you are making me do this even though I'd rather do something else!" NO! Of course not! God doesn't want to force us to do something either. He wants you to love him and know how much He cares for you but He isn't going to force you to love Him. All you need to do is what John 1:12 says....But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God. John 3:16 says it all....For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

If you want to become one of God's own, just say this little prayer or one of your own. All you need to do is tell God you are a sinner and need His forgiveness and that you want Him in your life. This prayer will guide you if you need help:

Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I need you in my life. Please forgive me of all I have done and please be the Lord of my life. Thank you for coming to earth and dying for me. Thank you for being my Saviour! Amen!

If you didn't pray this, I beg of you to please consider it before it is too late. I love you very much and want you to be in Heaven with me. Please if you have questions, go to another Christian you respect or email me (see link to right) and we will most certainly help you!

Thank you for reading this and please take this seriously. I love you too much not to say anything.

First Day of Swimming Lessons

We signed Mr. Nathan up for swimming lessons. My friend Becki told me about Southern Adventist University having a great program for swimming lessons. He goes everyday for 2 weeks for only $50!! Today was his first day. We weren't sure if he would chicken out on us but he was incredibly brave and was the first person to do each new skill, including putting his head under the water! I'm so glad he enjoyed it and is willing to learn to swim!

Funnyisms.....

Memorial Day held some funny things being said by my children. The first one came from Nathan. The little birdhouse he made a few weeks ago now has inhabitants. Two little bluebirds have started a nest inside. We were so surprised....especially Nathan. His comment was "I won't make them pay....they can live there for free." I guess he was planning to charge rent to any bird that decided to move in. He really wants that Star Wars Lego kit. LOL
Later on that day, we went mattress shopping. We gave Natalee the futon Nathan had used and went to buy him a new mattress for the frame Papaw gave him. One store we stopped at was right beside the Army Recruiters Office. Nathan was teasing Natalee ruthlessly about going into the army before we went inside the store. As we came out and headed back to the van, we strapped Natalee in and in a worried voice she said "I DON'T WANT TO GO TO THE ARMY!!!"
Momma was glad to hear that! Ha ha!

Run for Relief

I want to tell you what I did this weekend! I am so excited to say I ran my first 5K! Since February, my church has been doing a program called Run for God. It is a weekly Bible study with 3 weekly exercises you do. These exercises build you up to run a 5K at the end of the study. Our goal as a class was to run at Jfest in the Run for God race next week. After I signed up to race, another race became public called Run for Relief. A local gym started this benefit race to raise money for the tornado victims in our area. Even though I'd be running a total of over 6 miles in 2 weeks if I signed up, I couldn't pass signing up for this race also. I am so glad I did! I had such a good time and my confidence level was through the roof! The course was hard. It was at Greenway Farms and the trail was kindof like a mountain hiking trail......and it had hills after hills. Despite the hills and having to walk them, I was able to finish running and came very close to the goal I had set for myself for my first race. I finished at 46 minutes and 50 seconds. Whoo-hoo!! I was so excited! I am anxious to run this coming Saturday and see how much faster my time will be since it is all flat on the next race.

I have some professional photos coming from a professional photographer who photographed the Run for Relief race. As soon as I receive it, I will post them. Below is a pic my friend took of myself and two of my Run for God teammates.

Proud AGAIN!!!!

I know I never ever tell you all how proud I am of Nathan..........not ever. So today I am going to brag on him.......

Today we had Fun Day at school. For 2 hours, the kids went to the track and played all kinds of games for the end of the year of hard work. After it was over, I went back to Nathan's classroom and got to talking to his teacher. She told me she was so proud of Nathan. She showed me why....

He has had three reading tests this year.......the beginning, middle and just this week. The first test he took his score was 0.9, which meant he was still in the 9th month of kindergarten as far as reading as he entered the first grade. By the middle, he was at 1.9, which was first grade 9 months. Well.....today I saw his results. He is at 2.6!!! 2nd grade and 6 months! If I understand right, he is almost reading at a 3rd grade level!! Whoo-hoo!!

She also showed me a report he had wrote last week. She kept it to give to his second grade teacher.....but in his report he wrote about how he likes first grade. He said it was hard sometimes to learn but he said he has done good at everything! Ms. Edwards was so glad to read that, as well as I. Being a shy kid, your self-confidence usually isn't the greatest.....but I'm glad to know Nathan has confidence in himself.

SO PROUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see an ALLIGATOR!!

On the way to celebrate a friend's birthday, Natalee got a bit cranky on me. To divert her attention, I told her let's play a game and see who could see something first. She got all excited and wanted to pick the first item for us to see. Of all things, she picked an alligator! Would you believe she found one before we even went 3 feet down the road...........I think she cheated.

Tomatoes

April 27th is a day that made an impact on everyone.....including a certain 2 year old in my house. We spent most of the day in the basement that day scared to death as tornado after tornado hit our area. Natalee didn't seem affected by it as much as Nathan and I, but I thought wrong. Every since that day, all Natalee will talk about is the "tomato". When it rains, she starts yelling "A tomato is coming!!!". When we drive by houses with damage or go to our church that had roof damage she yells "look what tomato did!!!" Despite the scariness and devastation it is hard not to laugh at her as she talks about our "tomato".

Beach Night

Tonight we had beach night in Awana. Natalee isn't in Cubbies yet, but she gets to come in the class with us. She has really taken up with all the kiddos in the class. Here she is with her friends Sara and Kailey.

Even God can use a little child.....

You know....I have posted several times how proud I am of Nathan and how he talks about Jesus. Today his teacher stopped me in the hall and told me how much she has loved having Nathan in her class. She said God put him in her class for a reason. She said through tears that everytime the day is bad for her, she will look at Nathan and everytime God whispers in her heart "Peace, be still".

I got to thinking back after she said that when Tripp and I decided to have kiddos. I remember praying to God to please not give me a baby if they will not become a Christian. I have always felt confident about Nathan because I truly believe God answered my prayer. Not only is Nathan saved now....but he is not ashamed to tell others about Jesus. You can even see Him on his face. I love it!!!!

International Day

Nathan has International Day at school. All the first grade classes represented a country. They had food and activities related to their country. Nathan's class did Mexico. It was a lot of fun!

Pictures with Daddy

Natalee got a hold of my camera and had some fun with Daddy taking some pictures. Here are a couple of her shots.

Oh my word!!

It was one of those days......and I didn't know how crazy it was until I got home. After picking up Nathan from school, we made a quick run to Walmart. When we got home, I noticed something about Natalee. Apparently we walked into Walmart with her looking like this.......LOL
